Sumter Surge

The Sumter Surge are searching for talented, competitive, and professional minded basketball players who are ready to earn an opportunity at the next level

The 2026 Combine Series gives athletes an opportunity to compete in front of the Sumter Surge coaching staff. Players will be evaluated on athletic ability, basketball skills, conditioning, decision-making, competitiveness, teamwork, coachability and professionalism.

Selected players may receive an invitation to advance in the Sumter Surge player evaluation process. Participation DOES NOT guarantee a roster spot, training camp invitation, contract or employment.

  • January 23rd combine will serve as the final scheduled open evaluation before training camp.

REGISTRATION

Individual Combine Registration

  • $125 Online in advance
  • OR
  • $200 at the door day
  • At-the-door registration will be available IF space remains. Players are strongly encouraged to register online to secure their spot

Combine Package

  • $325
  • The package includes registration for ALL 3 combine dates
  • October 3rd
  • December 5th
  • January 23rd
  • Purchasing the full package saves $50 compared with purchasing all three events individually

Registration will open JULY 27th at 3pm

Space is limited and registration may close once capacity is reached.

Who Can Register?

Registration is open to serious basketball players who meet the following requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old by the date of participation
  • Must have valid government issued photo I.D
  • Must be physically able to participate in high-intensity basketball activities
  • Must complete all required registration, waiver, and emergency contact information
  • Must have graduated from High School
  • Must demonstrate professional behavior toward coaching staff, officials, and other players
  • Must be available for additional evaluations, practices, community events, training camp, and team activities if selected.
Evaluation formats may include, athletic testing, position specific drills, 1-on-1, 3-on-3 competition, 5 on 5 games, and situational basketball exercises.
The combine format may be adjusted based on attendance, available court time. Coaching needs, or facility requirements

What To Bring:

Each participant should bring:
  • Government issued I.D
  • Basketball shoes
  • Athletic shorts
  • Towel
  • Water Bottle
  • Any required braces, tape, or personal medical equipment
  • Proof of registration or registration confirmation email.
Players should arrive dressed and ready to participate. Basketballs and evaluations equipment will be provided unless otherwise communicated.
Do NOT bring jewelry or unnecessary valuables. The Sumter Surge and the host facility are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

CHECK-IN

Participants are asked to please arrive on time and bring the required documents for check-in process. You will receive and assigned jersey number, take an official evaluation photo, sign any remaining waivers or releases. Late arrivals may lose evaluation time or may not be permitted to participate. Registration fees will not be refunded because a participant arrives late or misses the event. Only registered participants are allowed on the court.
